I've been a paying user for at least five years. I'm tired of the updates making my experience worse. I just updated again, hoping to be rid of these podcasts showing up in my face EVERY SINGLE TIME I open the application. Obviously you don't want us reporting the harrassment. I marked one podcast as all played plus rated it zero stars. Despite not having a new episode in two years, despite never listening to a podcast on Spotify (and certainly not this garbage) despite repeated asking to not recommend it, Spotify still wants to put some **bleep** in my face. I left Netflix for less than this. They removed what I watched from the library, and ruined a franchise I held dear. So many of us have complained about basic features missing on the home page. And it's because Spotify's contracts with their actual customers, the advertizers, take precedence over my measly ten dollars a month. I recently mentioned to someone had I taken that money, I could've paid for albums I enjoy without Spotify saying I can't listen anymore plus I can support the artist as well as music shops. Music shops who don't steal my data after I paid them. This last update really pushed me to the edge. Why do you need my location to advertize to me shows for people I don't follow? Why can't I disable or hide this? Why does it have to be this difficult? We already had that incident at a concert in Las Vegas. Spotify really wants to mess with people's heads, they're gonna find themselves in some real trouble, not just in the board room answering to shareholders. Basic freaking features is all people ask. You could then further obfuscate your data collection and make it even more difficult for users to even know they're being tracked and sold without so much as an option to say wait a second. Why do musicians and artists have to take you to court? Why can't you, as the giant in the industry, set a reasonable standard? You keep hanging out with Facebook and you will go on that same downward path. They could have easily kept their market. Don't be like them. We're paying you money reliably. Just give us basic things, like a homepage we like to see, we want to come back to. Or do the Meta thing and kick your customers in the ass for not liking the suffocation.
