Albums on CarPlay only show from letter A to E

Hello 

 

So the problem is that CarPlay only show album from A to E , although I have a lot of albums between E and Z.

The funny thing is if I log in with another free account I have on  the same application on the same phone it shows all the albums from A to Z....I go back to my main account and it shows only A - E .....

Any help ?

Hi @Marshall3911,

 

Thank you for posting on the Community.

 

To start, please run a clean reinstall of the app, as this one is more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble. 

 

If the issue persists, could you check if this issue persists with a different phone?

Hi , thanks for your reply.

I’ve done the clean reinstall but no result, still the same problem….

It did the exact same thing with my previous phone (iPhone 12 Pro).

Thanks for your swift reply.

Could we also ask you to share with us the version number of the Spotify app you currently use? Meanwhile, you can also try to log in and out twice in a row from the app on your mobile device, to see fi this will make any difference.  As odd as it sounds, this action causes the app to reset and resynchronize with your account and might provide a solution to the situation.

You could also see if you have not applied some album filtering or custom sorting for your profile.

I’m using Spotify version 8.6.68.1328

I’ve tried what you suggested (log in and out twice) but still no chance….

I asked yesterday à friend of mine to try my account on his iPhone 7 , and still it’s the same behaviour , on his car too.

I don’t use any filter to show or hide things , all the playlists and artists are ok , it’s just the albums tab which is broken….

It looks like this could be an account-related issue.

 

In this case we'd suggest you give these steps a go and transfer your music. That way you can enjoy your favorite jams on the other account as well. 

 

If you want to cancel your subscription in order to activate a new one on the account on free service, you can check these steps.
