My Question or Issue

Hi, I’ve heard that Spotify added the ability to stream music on the Apple Watch without the need to also carry a phone. I have a cellular data plan for my watch, yet I cannot seem to get this working on the Spotify app on my watch as I don’t see the watch option within the “play on a device” selection screen. Can anyone help with this? Thank you.

Please keep in mind that even though the feature to stream directly on an Apple watch is available for some accounts, it's still in its testing phase. The reason for this is that we're constantly trying different things out in order to provide you with the best music experience possible. So  it's possible that you might see something on the app your friend doesn’t, or get a brand-new feature for only a temporary period. Click here to learn more about Spotify tests.

Nevertheless we recommend that you always keep the app up to date with the latest version. That way you'll make use of all features and improvements, as soon as they are made available.
