Cannot play downloaded albums

Cannot play downloaded albums

A few days ago I needed to make a new account because my e-mail adress changed, and I registered via Facebook in my previous account so I had to make a new one.

I was and am still in a Family Premium subscription. As soon as I loged into my new account I saw that the platform changed and it is a total mess. I checked the App Store, and it is said that the last update was a week ago and my apps automaticaly upgrade, so I don’t know why did it changed just now.

Anyway, I started to download my old songs, albums and playlists and when I finished I realized that I don’t have a “Songs” section where I can find all my saved and downloaded music, instead I have a “Favourite Songs” folder in the Playlists section.

In my previous account, when I downloaded an album, the songs in it appeared in the “Songs” section as well as in the “Albums” section as whole albums. Now somehow I cannot listen to or at least open the downloaded albums when I’m offline, it says that I’m offline so I cannot listen to the downloaded albums, which doesn’t make sense at all. In order to listen to the downloaded albums I need to save all the songs separetly which I have already downloaded as whole albums, but I can only do that if I scroll or search for it in the “Favourite Songs”.

I tried to log out and in again, I tried deleting and installing Spotofy again but nothing changed.

I hope you can find a solution, because it is nonsense that I pay for Premium while it appears to be the same as the free version (or even worse)

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? Sorry if this may sound a bit repetitive but  if that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app by following these steps.

I’d also recommend checking your Subscription status and trying the Sign Out Everywhere and Remove Offline Devices from your Spotify account page.

If that doesn’t help could you try it with another internet connection?

Also, if possible try signing in on another device with your account 🙂

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

I'll see what I can suggest next!

Hi,

thanks for the quick response, I really appreciate it.

I tried everything you've suggested on Sunday, but none of them helped immediately.

However, yesterday I could manage to access my downloaded albums, so the problem seems to be solved. Maybe it was just a glitch or something like that.

Anyway, thank you very much for your help.

Have a nice day

That's awesome!

If you need more help don't hesitate to ask 😉
