My Question or Issue

In my car I have two Bluetooth connections to my iPhone at the same time. One is to the OEM phone handsfree system in the car and the other is to a TPLink Bluetooth receiver which I use for streaming audio from Spotify and is plugged into the Aux input on my car stereo.

I have to use the two different connections due to restrictions with the car audio system.

Whenever I start Spotify it always defaults to selecting the MyCar (phone handsfree) Bluetooth output, which doesn't work for audio streaming. I can manually select the TPLink to stream audio and this works fine, but I have to do it every single time which is frustrating.

Is there any way that I can change this so that the Spotify app defaults to using the TPLink for audio output? I have checked the settings and searched online, but I can't find any information. I can't really work out why it is prioritising the MyCar connection - unless it's as simple as it being in alphabetical order?

Thanks!

searching for the same solution here, when I plug my iPhone to carPlay, I only want it to connect to my phone to do or receive calls but Spotify always has to use only my Bluetooth HIFI amplifier as output but Spotify is always selecting the damn carPLay output when I get it the car and I always have to manually select my amplifier in the Spotify output devices. Having a priority device in the list would solve the problem, I hope there are enough asking for this feature...
