Frequent login reset

Frequent login reset

Spotify is requiring that login frequently - almost once every 24 hours on my iPhone (iOS5; current version of Spotify app).

I have a premium account and the login requests sometimes come when I am not able to connect to the internet (ie: on the subway).

This is a real pain, as I thought the purpose of Premium was the ability to access your music even when you are away from an internet connection.

Is there a solution?

Thanks,

Dan

It happens the same to me... on my iPhone I have to log in like 2 or 3 times everyday... on my iPad or Computer this doesn't happen. How can we fix this??

thanks

Matias

I have the same problem. I'm on an iPhone 5 with the latest versions of iOS7 and Spotify and it logs me out roughly on a monthly basis.

When it happened last week I uninstalled Spotify and reinstalled it, but it happend again this morning.

I had a lot of playlists synced to my phone and for the umpteenth time, all of them are gone and I will have to resync.  I am sick of this problem and it's pointless me paying £9.99 a month when I can't rely on the service, so unless it is resolved soon it'll be bye bye Spotify.

Are you logging in using Facebook or a Spotify username?

Using my Spotify username.

Strange, I don't think I have ever been logged out of the App automatically (unless requested). Pretty sure logging out doesn't remove my offline playlists either. Wondering do you have any other apps which might be interfering with Spotify?

It is strange, but I'm not the only user to report it.

I'm not sure about other apps interfering with Spotify, I would have thought the sandboxed structure of iOS would prevent that.

I'm also facing this problem on iOS on an iPhone 5S.

I'm using spotify login, not Facebook.

Approx once a day when using. It clears all my synced tracks which takes ages to correct, and is particularly annoying when it happens out of the house/office and I'm left without any offline music to listen to.

...and it has happened again, so once again all the playlist music I had synced to the phone has been deleted.

Does anybody at Spotify support actually read these posts or really give a toss?

Spotify community is not an official Spotify support channel. If you want a guarenteed response from Spotify support, drop them an email using the online contact form and they will be able to assist you further with this.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Alternatively, if you prefer support via Twitter, please tweet @SpotifyCares.

I'll do that, thanks.

I am pleased to say that I contacted Spotify support who solved the problem by resetting my device list. I had to resync all my devices afterwards, but 6 or 7 weeks on and the problem has not re-occurred.

Yay! Enjoy your music 🙂

It seems I spoke to soon. It has happened again.
