Hey everyone,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.
Keep in mind that this is an expected behavior when using the free service. Since Shuffle mode is the default for free users, there are no Shuffle or Repeat buttons.

In case you're still experiencing issues, feel free to reach out in this thread or create a new one in the relevant Help Board.

Hey @Jaelix05! Welcome to the Spotify Community. ^^
That doesn't sound cool.
Just to confirm, could you let me know if the issue persists after reinstalling the app?
Let me know how it goes! ^^
Peace
Hey @Jaelix05,welcome to the Community.
Hope you're doing great!
Currently those buttons are only available in shuffle free playlists. Because you're in the free tier you're tied to a shuffle mode. Check this article for on on Spotify free on mobile.
If you'd like you could upgrade anytime to Premium.
Hope it helps 🙂
The reason for this is that you do not have premium you can have the repaeat on daily mixes and other free playlists. Please Like trying to get rockstar
Hey @Jaelix05,
Here's an article to learn more about Sptofiy Premium and it's features.
If you need help with anything else don't I'll be right here 🙂
Except I have Spotify Free tier and Web Player has repeat button. Sounds silly that you have to pay for premium on the Spotify app to access the repeat button, when it's free for me on Web Player.
Cane here for the same reason. I have premium yet do not have a repeat button
Hey @Deiakon,
Thanks for posting in the Community.
If you are using a Premium account and can't find the repeat button, could you share a screenshot of where exactly you're looking for it?
We can then get a clear view of what is going on on your end.
Keep us posted,
Cheers!

What if we would like to repeat the playlist in general instead of it just stopping when it ends..?
Hey @user-removed,
Thanks for your question. There is a way to get the list to repeat once all the songs have played - in the Now playing view next to the controls for Play/Pause and Play Next you can see and press the Repeat button which looks like this
Keep in mind that this feature has the option to repeat the whole list/album and when pressed again it can repeat a singular song, which is called Repeat One and looks like this
Hope this info helps! Let us know if you are not able to see that button.
Hello,
I, too, am missing my Repeat button - it suddenly disappeared as of this morning. Within my account settings, I am clearly shown as having Premium service. And I have followed the reinstall instructions multiple times. Still no repeat button.
What are the next steps to try, please?
Thank you!
I have found that the buttons disappear when I put on podcasts instead of songs. I do have a premium account. This is quite annoying as my son wants to sleep to bedtime stories (which there are a lot of podcasts of bedtime stories) and he just wants to listen to certain ones, over and over (yes it would drive me crazy, but he is a kids so whatever). The only way that I have found to play the same one over and over is to play one, then click the three dots next to it again and add it to the queue. Over and over. Until there are enough in the queue to last until he is deep asleep. I tried making a playlist that just has the same podcast over and over and it will not let me add it more than once...
If I go to a normal playlist of songs, the shuffle and repeat buttons are there. With the podcasts, they are changed to the forward/backwards 15 seconds buttons.
Is there any good way to make podcasts or podcast playlists repeat?
Thanks!
Hey folks,
Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.
@dariable, we suggest that you try logging out and then logging back in to your account twice in a row. We know this sounds odd, but it will trigger a sync between your account and device. If this doesn't do the trick, could you send us a screenshot where we can see the missing Repeat button? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert image option in the post editor. Make sure not to send any private info.
@Bigjogle, we're afraid the Repeat option is not available for podcast episodes at the moment. If you'd like to have this option in the future, we'd recommend giving a +Vote to this idea. The Idea Exchange is a great way for us to see what our users are interested in and how many people like a certain idea. Check out this FAQ to learn more about it. On another note, you should be able to add the same episode to a playlist multiple times. While doing so, you should receive a notification asking if you'd like to add the same episode again and you can choose the option "Add anyway". If this is not how it works on your end, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of what happens when you try to add the same episode to a playlist so we can take a closer look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).
We'll be waiting for your replies.
