Next From list - "Remove" and "Add to queue" NOT WORKING

My Question or Issue

When I go to my "Next from" in a Playlist the options to "Remove" and "Add to queue" are no longer working. I can still click the circle next to the song and a green check appears and the "Remove" and "Add to queue" option are still there, but nothing happens when I click them. Everything was working fine yesterday, today when I opened the Spotify app it asked me to upgrade, I did, and now it's not working.

Hey, i’ve been trying to remove things from the queue by pressing the circles but when i press remove it won’t work and the songs don’t remove. I’ve logged out and logged back in across all devices, ive refreshed, it goes across all my playlists and albums, and i’ve powered my phone off but nothing will work.

I cannot remove songs from the queue on the Spotify mobile app (but can on the desktop version). I use this feature all the time, but it seems to have stopped working over the past couple of days.  

I’m having the same issue! The button is there but not working, cannot remove songs at all. Seems like a bug from the new update, I updated my app last night and only started noticing this since then.

Yes, iPhone 12 & just updated Spotify recently  😞

Hey folks! Thanks for letting us know!

 

Try removing the app's cached data to see if that would make a difference. 

In case this doesn't help, you can install a completely fresh copy of the app by removing all Spotify-related data from the device.
To do so - follow the steps here.

Note: Performing either of these actions will remove any content downloaded for offline listening. It will re-download the next time you open the app, depending on your data settings.

 

In case the issue remains, we'd like to know the following details:

  • The make & model of any affected devices
  • Their OS versions
  • Your Spotify app versions
  • A rough note of when you've first noticed the issue

Can someone tell if this works? A lot of us seem to have the same issue, I doubt its a cache issue... I dont wanna clean reinstall 23 gigs of music. Thank you

While I am now able to save changes to playlists in the iOS app (thank you), I am now lo longer able to remove songs from "Up Next," which for me is a much bigger issue. Please look into this.

I have the same exact problem I hope they patch it soon.

Thanks for your response. 

The first option of simply clearing the app's cached date DID NOT WORK. 

The second option of removing all Spotify related date from device and installing a fresh copy  DID WORK. 

 

I was having this issue on my iPhone 11 so I'm not sure if the same would be for Android or desktop app.

My Question or Issue

Add to queue button is broken. Swiping to add is fine, but when scrolling through the up next of a playlist the add to queue button doesn't do anything. 

This morning I tried to remove songs (one at a time and a bunch at once) from the queue of my playlist and it lets me click the button but it doesn’t delete the songs. The add to queue button also doesn’t work in the same fashion. I’ve reset my phone, logged out of the app, checked for updates on Spotify and my phone but nothing has changed. This is really stressing me out so please help me 🙏🏻

We've checked on our end and we weren't able to reproduce the issue. Can all of you who haven't reinstalled the app yet try it and let us know if it helps? If it doesn't, please share your exact app version so we can investigate further.

My Question or Issue

I cannot remove songs from my song-queue in the Spotify App. Although the “remove”-button is showing down left, when I press it, nothing happens.

I can’t remove specific songs from my queue because when I press remove it does nothing  and the only way to even clear any songs is by pressing clear all which is annoying when I want to remove individual songs 

After selecting to remove songs on your queue, the remove button is doing nothing
