My Question or Issue

Autoplay is disabled when connecting with Spotify Connect to my Naim MuSo 2. Playing a song through search results in only playing that song. Once the song has ended, no new songs a played. Deleting cache, turning autoplay option off-on when not connected to the speaker, reinstalling app, rebooting device, nothing works.

Hey @Canis_Lupus27, welcome to the Community.

Hope you're doing great!

I'd suggest updating to iOS 15.3 if you haven't already.

Spotify is trying to implement a toggle for disabling or enabling autoplay on Spotify Connect. It's currently available on the desktop app (I don't have it on mobile yet but you might), could you check if it's turned on. You can learn more about that here.

Does autoplay work when not using Spotify Connect?

Keep me posted 🙂

Hi! I updated to 15.3, but this didn’t seem to work. I don’t seem to have a toggle when connected to the speaker. The issue still persist…

Unfortunately not. The issue still persist. Playing a single song via search does not Autoplay after finishing when connecting to my speaker through Spotify Connect.

Hey @Canis_Lupus27,

Does autoplay work at all when you are not using Spotify Connect?

Since you couldn't find the option on mobile, if you have access on a desktop device, try to find it there (Autoplay on other devices).

Keep me posted.

It does, the option to toggle Autoplay (and the whole submenu it is included in) just greys out and moves to the bottom as soon as I use Spotify Connect.

Does anyone have any solutions maybe?

Hey @Canis_Lupus27,

Thank you for keeping us in the loop.

The options for autoplay are available in the mobile app and in the desktop app as well. First, make sure you have both options active in your device before starting using Connect.

You can find these options in the settings of your app, under the title Playback.

However, on the desktop app the options are not grayed out when you start using Connect. If you have the chance, give it a try from the desktop app.

We hope it helps. Let us know how it goes.

Just jumping in to add something to what @Canis_Lupus27 mentioned.

Tested here using Spotify version 8.7.6 (Alpha) using Echo Dot via Spotify Connect, my device is running iOS 15.3 (iPhone 13, latest OS version), all toggles for Autoplay are turned on (Desktop and mobile) and Spotify doesn't continue playing after the music ends.

Looking forward to a fix soon, since this feature is really useful for those who don't want the music to never stop. 🤞
