Playlist do not keep when i reopen app

Playlist do not keep when i reopen app

hello everyone,

first of all sorry for my english, if i write anything wrong then dont be mad at me.

i have an iphone 13 pro and premium account.

 

when i start to play a song that in a playlist everything is fine. When i reopen app the song goes off and another song start to play. I reinstalled the app. I am out of idea. Can you help me?

Hi there @yozkaynakci,

 

Thanks for reaching out. When did this start happening? Is it only when you restart the app that it happens? Does the song change unexpectedly while still playing or only when you finish and relaunch the app?

 

In any case, if you haven't performed a full clean reinstall, please do so as that can help with a multitude of issues.

Thanks for the reply.

It is started couple months ago and only happens when close app and open it some times later even minute or 12 hours.

 

I’ve already clean install with no luck.

Thanks for the reply. When this happens, does the song also start or is it just switched to a different one from what you last played? If possible, please make a screen recording and send it to us so we can have a closer look. If the files are too large to attach here in the Community, you can send them to us via Google Drive or as unlisted YouTube videos.
 

In the meantime, consider trying these steps too, just to be sure. Use them to also check for any other unusual behaviour that may be causing this.

It switchs to random song from middle of it. I will upload a screen recording asap and post it here.

 

 

Edit: i was trying to take a screen recording and i found out that it only happens when i am connected to my car via bluetooth

When a Bluetooth connection is established between your iPhone and vehicle, Spotify will attempt to play from your recently played songs. Still, a short screen recording would help us get a clear view of what's happening on your end, so feel free to share it here when you get a chance.

Does it happen only in the car or with all other Bluetooth devices too? If it only happens with the car, it may very well be expected behaviour as explained by @Yordan.

Well i have no idea because i use bluetooth only with my vehicle. For an answer i need to try it. As soon as i try then i will let you know.

 

by the way is there any settings to close the recently played option?

Just to clarify, there are no settings to deactivate this behavior on the app when connected to your car. Nonetheless, and as mentioned in this thread, this behavior shouldn't happen anymore in the newest version of the app. In that sense, we'd recommend updating your app to the latest version available, or performing a clean reinstall to make sure that there's no damaged cache affecting the proper behavior of the app.

 

We'll be waiting for your updates on how this goes when using different Bluetooth devices.

Thanks for the reply but i’ve already clean install the app shown on your support page and my system is up to date bu still no luck

Still, it's worth giving this a test whenever you can with connecting a different Bluetooth device to your phone in order to check if the same behavior would happen there as well.

 

In the meantime, we're here if anything else comes up.
