Replacing an album that has been removed from spotify

Replacing an album that has been removed from spotify

Hi,

One of my favorite albums, The Suburbs by Arcade Fire has just disappeared from the service. I listen to this album about once a week so I'm really notcing the loss.

I actually own the CD of this album, so is there any way I can get the CD copy of my album into Spotify on my iPhone/Echo so it re appears in my library and playlists?  I don't have any equipment to play the CD any more so I need it in my iPhone!!

The only way to get that album back would be to use the Local Files/Sync feature.  You’d need to have the Spotify app installed on either a Mac or PC, and have that CD imported onto that PC either in a folder or via iTunes.  Then, those files can get synced to the iPhone.

More info on the sync can be found at https://support.spotify.com/us/using_spotify/features/listen-to-local-files/.

Thanks for the information - is there any way to sync the files to Spotify on my Amazon echo also?

Unfortunately I don’t think it is possible at the moment.  There’s another thread on the topic of local files with Amazon Echo over at https://community.spotify.com/t5/Other-Partners-Web-Player-etc/Local-Files-Won-t-Play-on-Amazon-Echo.... 😞
