My Question or Issue

I've been having the same issue as https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Siri-on-AppleWatch-does-not-work/m-p/6105068  and reinstalling spotify on my watch after every restart seemed to make siri commands  work with spotify again, until last week.

Now when I try ANY Spotify commands with siri on my watch I get the error message "Spotify hasn't added support for that with Siri". I have reinstalled spotify on both my watch and iphone and restated both and still get the same issue.

In Settings>> Siri & Search  ALL the options are turned in for spotify.
It was bad enough when siri support  only worked after a reinstall but this is worse as the feature doesn't work now at all. Al other sirir commands work fine. Do you have any suggestions win what caused this and how I can fix it?

Frustrated by "Spotify hasn't added support for that with Siri"? It's not your fault! While Siri can control many apps, Spotify doesn't allow full integration yet. You can still play music with voice commands, but some features like adding to queue might be unavailable. Hopefuly, future updates from Spotify will bring full Siri support!

@luizdavid that's very incorrect.

@McNastyPrime same problem here.

Same problem here! It used to be possible to tell my AppleWatch "Play Spice Girls (or whatever) on Spotify"and it would play.

Now I just get the message "Spotify hasn't added support for that with Siri".

I suspect that Apple has changed something, which has disabled Siri support for Spotify. (Of course Siri is happy to play any song on Apple Music :s )

I hope Spotify can fix this in order to get siri support again! I don't wanna/gonna switch to apple music only to keep siri support!

I've been experiencing the exact same issue for over a month across all my Apple devices. I run daily and rely on Siri to control music on Spotify, but suddenly, when I asked Siri to change the song, it started saying it can't do that at the moment, even though it used to work. Now, I can't do anything at all – when I say "Hey Siri, play some music on Spotify," it responds with "Sorry, I can't do that." Even if I manually open Spotify and say "Next song," it says Spotify isn't supported. It seems like Spotify has completely lost Siri support. Could the developers please comment on this? When will it be fixed?
Should we switch to Apple Music?

Due to the utter lack of updates firm Spotify here, I contacted I Apple support, expecting nothing.  After a text chat, and then  a voice they went through the issue. While perplexed the Apple support staff suggested that the issue may be due to the Spotify app not being updated to keep up with the latest apple iOS updates.

Sure enough last week I tried the commands again  to see if anything changed and the voice commands work for me again now. The issue whereby the  watch app stops responding and needs to be re-installed after a restart still persists however ( see here https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Siri-on-AppleWatch-does-not-work/m-p/6152929#M16395...

I suggest you all retry your voice commands again

Hi,

Suddenly, Siri on my Apple Watch stopped working with Spotify - it always shows "Spotify hasn't added support for that with Siri". Every time, with every possible command (all of which worked earlier).

It has all the permissions that I can see. No changes were applied. And it works on the iPhone Siri.

Any suggestions on how to fix it? I have already tried re-installing the app.
