My Question or Issue
I am using Spotify Connect on iPhone 11 with Denon DRA-800H amplifier. I am mostly listening to full albums from start to finish and this is what my issue is about. When an album finishes playing, then Spotify continues to play it again from the beginning even though all repeat or autoplay functionalities are disabled. I expect that when last song from the album finishes, then nothing else gets played, just silence. This is happening only while using Spotify Connect and my Denon. I remember this was not an issue few months back, just started to happen very recently.
I also suspect that this Community post below might be related to my issue but unfortunately I cannot open it - getting Access Denied screen.
Yes, the thing with the queue is also annoying, but I think that’s a different issue
I have exactly the same problem, but with HEOS via a Marantz NA6006 streamer.
Play an album, go to last track, check Play Next to see that there is nothing showing, wait for track to finish, when track has finished the Play Next fills with the same album, first track of same album plays - although the Play (forward arrow symbol) shows, not the pause symbol. To get it to stop the Play has to be pressed and then the pause symbol that appears. This doesn't happen using Spotify on either of my tablets, or via Playfi on my Quad Vena 2 play.....seems original to using HEOS doesn't it!
I have the same issue using Spotify connect streaming to Denon Home 250 speakers. At the end of the album the album repeats itself but neither Spotify nor the Heos app show anything is playing. I have to press play and then pause again to stop it.
Spotify, any chance you could actually address and fix this issue?

I'm having the same issue but I'm running Windows 10 Desktop and playing on a Denon AVR-X2500H
Spotify for Windows (64 bit)
Version = 1.2.31.1205.g4d59ad7c
I have this same issue using a Denon AVR-S750H. I've tried controlling it with both a PC or Android phone, and it happens with either. Same thing as described in strappado's post on 2023-07-16 10:34 PM.
It does only repeat the first track of the album. Once the first track is done playing, it stops.
I also have this same issue with a Marantz NR1509 using Spotify Connect. Appears to not be playing in the Spotify app at the end of the album, and have to press play which seems to simultaneously pause and restart playback, and then press pause again.
Hoping this can be fixed soon!
Is there any update on this? It seems like a lot of us are hitting this exact same issue with Denon/Marantz (doesn't matter what you control it with, phone vs computer) where the first song repeats, even though the interface has a Play button instead of a Pause. I have to click Play then Pause to stop it. This is a really irritating bug that happens consistently, and it used to work correctly with the exact same system some years ago.
Same experience here and to add two things:
Just to let you all know, I originally reported this issue here, but eventually lost the interest in resolution. This is because I started to use AirPlay as a workaround. Since it's almost 1 year without any progress, maybe it's worth to get over it by using Airplay instead, which works exactly the same as Denon solution, just without this annoying bug.
Wish I could do that workaround but my devices aren't Apple. This bug is still around and ruins the end of my albums.
It seems like the bug have been fixed?
I don't know if it's because of the latest update of spotify or heos?
An update just rolled out on my Denon Home 150's, but not yet on my AVR X2700H.
The result: my 150's now no longer have the bug, but my AVR still does.
