My Question or Issue

Hi,

A friend sent me a playlist and I can't play it. He sent the link via SMS+facebook.

When I open the link on my iphone, an empty playlist shows up with the words "This playlist is currently empty"

When I open the link on my PC, , the playlist shows up and says there are 499 songs in it, it has the title of the playlist and there are songs listed but the song names are in grey and there is no album cover for the playlist. When I try and play any of the songs on it it says on the top left "This song is unavailable".

Could someone please help me fix this? Thanks

Hope you're doing great!

That means that this playlist may have local files in it which your friend has added there but you can't play them since they are only available to his account.

You can learn more about Local Files in Spotify here.

It may also be that those songs are not available in your current region. That is something that is up to the artists and their labels which have the right to chose where their work is available worldwide.
