Why can't I see the new lyrics feature?

My Question or Issue

I am really sad that I am unable to see the new lyrcis feature, and I have even tried logging in my acc on my friend's device - which btw the feature on her acc works perfectly fine. I have also tried the clean restart and log in log out and even uninstalling multiple times. Could it possibly be because I am on a premium family plan subscription? Please help me resolve this matter 😔

Spotify is often testing and this means you might see something different on the app compared to your friends. It'd be great for you to check this Spotify Answer for more info about test features. To make sure you're always on top of this, you can enable automatic updates on your device.

I'm guessing, that's because Spotify for iOS was not updated for a month now. The latest version of the app on iOS is 8.5.60, while on Android it is 8.5.64. I'm missing lyrics on my account too. I hope they update iOS app eventually.

On second thought, I've read in this thread users complaining lacking lyrics on Android. This means a new feature isn't for everybody.

I've found that this issue isn't even about the app- because my account doesn't get it, yet I tried using my sister's account on my app and the lyrics showed up just fine. I guess some of us just have unlucky accounts.
