cancel spotify & switch – connect STILL broken!!!

cancel spotify & switch – connect STILL broken!!!

 

as many i the community have found, spotify connect still does not work properly. numerous people have all had the same issue, and have done all the testing to prove that this is a spotify bug and NOT an external hardware or setup issue. see the thread here: https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Spotify-Connect-not-all-devices-appear/m-p/4521213 

 

i can no longer use spotify, as my primary use case is to stream audio to my speakers, which is no longer possible.

 

does anybody have recommendations for me, and all the others who have the same issue, for other streaming services that have functioning streaming capabilities? i'm happy to invest the $10/mo elsewhere. thanks in advance.

Hey @bookjasonsorry for the delay. 

 

Try restarting all your devices (and speakers). Also, make sure that:

  • All devices are on the same WiFi network.

  • Your Spotify app is up-to-date.

  • All devices’ software is up-to-date. If you don't know, check with your devices' manufacturers for how to update the version software. 

  • If possible, try switching between different networks and see if that helps.
