My Question or Issue

When trying to move songs in my queue, the app seems to misinterpret my dragging the song as scrolling, and freaks out. (See attached file)

Also I couldn't upload the .mp4 file, so I had to zip it to upload it.

Hey there @bkf2406

Thanks for reaching out to us about this - we'll be glad to help you out here.

Most common issues can be fixed with a quick reinstall of the app. In some situations however, a clean (more thorough) reinstall of the app might be needed. This way, you can start afresh with Spotify on your device.

Check out this help page in order to find the steps for clean reinstall on the affected device.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.

Hey Ivan,

Thanks for your reply. I tried a clean reinstall of the app, but it did not help. Were you able to see the video I attached?

Hey @bkf2406

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

We checked the video you've sent us. This makes us think as a next step you should try to log in to your Spotify account on another device just to check if you observe the same. If it doesn't occur on a different device, we'd suggest making sure that your original device is up to speed with any software updates available.

If that doesn’t do the trick, just let us know and we’ll provide you with further help.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted.

I tested this while logged into Spotify for Android and the issue was not present.

I should be up to date, I have no iOS or Spotify updates available. For reference, my Spotify version is 8.5.52.935 and I’m running iOS 13.4.

i have the same issue on my ipad ios 13.4 and on my iphone 11 pro ios 13.4. Funfact is that this exact bug had the apple music app too, but after an ios update they fixed it, but on spotify it still exists and its pretty annoying.

hope that helped!
