Ads playing even when logged as Premium

I have a Premium account and have had it since the early days of this service. Today, for the first time ever, Spotify played an ad for me. I am logged in with my Premium account. What's going on?

I have an Android phone.

Thanks for posting in the Community!

This is odd, but it can mean that you've accidentally created/logged in an additional account, that is running on the free service on that particular device. Try logging out and logging in again with your credentials to see if this will make any difference.

Make sure you've used the correct details to log in you account and also keep in mind that sometimes situations like this can occur if you've used the buttons to "Continue with Facebook/Google/Apple", which can result in creating an additional account for yourself. In case you do not remember your login details, check our tips here.
