I just read Spotify's updated privacy policy and think it contains some shocking clauses that are unacceptable to me, particularly relating to sharing payment data with third parties in other countries.
I've therefore cancelled my subscription.
However, I can see in my account that Spotify still has all of my payment details saved. Given that this is exactly why I wanted to cancel my subscription, please can anyone help me by advising on how I can get these details removed from Spotify's system?
Most websites offer you an option to 'delete card' or 'remove card details' but it seems that Spotify (for some strange reason) doesn't offer its users that option... [Oh, and it also doesn't allow me to tag this post with either 'Security' or 'Privacy'!]
Thanks in advance.

Hi there and welcome to the community,
You should be able to remove or change your card info at this page:
https://www.spotify.com/us/account/subscription/change-payment/
I've also the tags "Security" and "Privacy" to your post.

I just went through this process. To delete the credit card information you need to contact the support through the contact form (someone already posted link).
They will then ask you to confirm this by providing them your date of birth, zip code and 4 last digits of your CC.
After that it didn't take more than couple of hours and CC information was deleted.

Then I'd recommend to get in touch with the spotify support team by using the online contact form. They should be able to remove the details from your account.
If you get an auto reply back directing you to the help pages, just reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the employees will get back to you as soon as possible.

I don't have the CC problem as such, but still another very dissatisfied customer, I'll also be cancelling my premium subscription and will look into other services.
Paying customer since 2009-01-13.

Hi Jordi
Thanks for your reply. I did indeed follow this process, and have been told that my card details have now been removed.
However, I don't see why Spotify do not allow users to delete their own payment card details, without entering a different card - every other website, to the best of my knowledge, allows you to do this.
Along with their new privacy policy it is one of many reasons that I find them untrustworthy and non-transparent as a company.
