My Question or Issue

Hello,

I'm evaluating Premium and there's only one issue: I'd like to change the country of my profile, which is currently Germany, because I live here right now - but I don't speak German, and Spotify keeps giving me content in German!

Therefore I would like to change my country to Romania (my home country, but really I just want my content (podcasts, news) in English at least).

The problem is that the Country dropdown at spotify.com/ro/account/overview/ is greyed out and is disabled (and set to Germany). I followed the howto article and changed my payment method to a Romanian one. But I still can't change the country of my content, all the podcast suggestions I get are in German.

It would mean a lot to be able to make full use of the service, in a language I understand. Thanks in advance for any help.

thanks for reaching out about this !

As content licensing varies between countries, the content you see depends on the country registered on your Spotify account details.

Unfortunately there isn't a way you can change the content presented in Germany for example to content from another country.

However, you should still be able to search for other content through the app.

In addition, you can always change the language of the app itself with the steps here.

I would also like to bring your attention to the "Ideas" section of the community.

You can post any suggestions for things you'd like to see in the app and have users around the community add their +VOTE and promote it.

Last but not least, if you feel you wish to try and make changes in your account, i recommend waiting for your next billing date.
