Going from Family to Premium Account

I share a family account with my brother but now I have a spotify voucher for my birthday (and so does he), we can't use them while we have a family account!!??  (stupid idea).

So now I have to change my subscription so I can actually use my birthday present and I am not sure how to.

Do I have to actually cancel my account and start again?  Will that mean that my brother and I lose the current month's family payment (which they took from my mums account TODAY even though it's not due until 7th November!!)

Will our playlists be lost?

Help or advice is appreciated.

Unfortunately, you have to cancel your current subscription before using the e-card. Don't worry, you won't lose your remaining Premium time or your playlists.
