My Question or Issue

I have two "friends" in the sidebar of the desktop app that I have never seen before and certainly didn't add. I am not connected to facebook (I dont even have an account on it). I just want to remove them, I searched everywhere on the site and in desktop app, but couldn't find anything I can do to remove them. How do I do it?

Hello @ZVER3D

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

To unfollow someone, you need to open their profile, you can do that by clicking their display name in the Friend Activity. Once you do that, under their display name you should see a button indicating that you're following them: unfollow.png. If you click it, you'll unfollow that user.

You can also unfollow someone by right-clicking their display name in the Friend Activity and then choosing Unfollow.

I hope that helps!

Hey @ZVER3D,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Just jumping in here to add some extra info to what @Emilia_8 suggested.

If you notice any other unusual activity in your profile, such as songs and playlists added to your library, it's a good idea to go ahead and secure your account using the instructions in this Support Page. Don't forget to change the password for any service associated with your account, such as your email address or Apple.

We recommend that you also have a look at all third party apps that have access to your Spotify account and remove any you don't recognize. You can learn how to do this here.  For the other ones you should update the login info as well.

Hope this info is useful. Let us know if there's anything else we can help with.
