I need a new login method

Solved!

I need a new login method

Hello!

Using Spotify on my smartphone, I started a playlist on Spotify on the smart TV in the room at the guesthouse where I stayed over the weekend. I forgot to try to delete the login details for my Spotify account on the guesthouse's smart TV. So, worried that other people might use my account on the guesthouse's smart TV, I tried to cancel the login on that TV, but I saw that there is no way to cancel the Spotify login remotely.

So I decided to edit the login methods, with the aim of preventing Spotify on the guesthouse's smart TV from being able to connect to my account. I was logging in through my Facebook account. I tried to enter a new login method. However, I kept getting error messages from Spotify, informing me that something went wrong and asking me to try again. I deleted the Facebook login method, to try to resolve this message that something went wrong and that I should try again. However, I keep getting this error message every time I try, endlessly.

I'm worried because the only login method available is Samsung and only my main notebook is Samsung. So I don't know how to log in to the other devices I have. What can I do to solve this problem?

I want to have a login method again for each device and I want to make sure that the smart TV in the room at the hotel where I was staying doesn't keep my login available.

Oh! My plan is Premium, I live in Brazil and my devices are a Motorola smartphone, an LG smart TV, a Lenovo notebook and a Samsung notebook.

Hi there @Vinicius_Almeida,

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to look into this for you.

We understand your concerns, but don't worry, there are many ways available to secure your account. First of all, try the "Sign out everywhere" option from your account page and then resetting your password. This will remove the login and also secure the account. The full steps on this as well as further steps with which you can secure your account can be found here

After this, you can manage all your login methods using the steps in this article. Having separate login methods for different devices really isn't necessary or recommended, so we advise you instead to choose whichever method works best for you, making sure it's reliable for you and sticking to that.

Hope this helps. If you face issues with these steps or have any further concerns, don't hesitate to let us know.
