As I like Spotify as it's starting to be useless for me.
My notifications about new songs of following bands and artists disappeared. Shame, it was that what was the point of keeping me with Spotify together.
Without notifications I can’t see serious reasons not to back to my mp3 or flac files:(
“Be on time” with fresh music it was most precious Spotify functionality for me.

Disappointed user
I've been told by friends that artists notifications have returned for them a few days back. I've been receiving new follower notifications for a few days now too. At the moment, the most important thing is to get the notification bell back, and so far I haven't seen any reliable method to do so. Hopefully it'll be back soon.
In the meantime, check swarm.fm
Also, this Windows app may prove useful:

Thank you for your replay. I'm still haven't the bell. I'm starting to be dissatisfaction.
Regards
If you don't have the notification bell, the Spotify web app (the browser version) still has it with all your notifications, including the old ones you haven't had a chance to listen to yet.
Thank you for the information. Unfortunately I don't use webb app spotify at all, and I don't want to change this.
Does anyone know whether the bell will return or not??
Regards
PS
this is so frustrated....
I've been paying for Spotify since the US Beta. This is absolutely enough to get me to explore other services.
If the Spotify Dev Team doesn't understand why, then they don't understand their product.
Same problem here, that bell was the most intresting thing in Spotify, maybe i'll end my supporting
In the meantime you can give some Kudos and leave a comment here.
BRING BACK THE BELL!!!!!!!
There is currently NO way to find out IN REAL TIME when one of the 800+ artists I follow releases new music.
Instead, I receive an email.
Here is what I need to do then:
- My Gmail crops the email from Spotify - because it's too long - so i scroll down, and click "[Message clipped] View entire message" in a new tab;
- I click on EACH ONE of the 50+ new releases, which opens a new Spotify Web Player tab - repeat for each new release;
- I used to select the song/album and "Add to Queue" - but then realised the queue doesn't always sync between devices, meaning I'd wasted countless minutes going through this tedious exercise, only to have to start all over again. Also, I don't necessarily want to listen to all new music at once... so I now have a playlist I've created for new releases.
No I will NOT use your read-made manipulated incomplete ever-changing Release Radar.
- This is such a soul destroying process, that I can't bring myself to do it each Friday upon receipt of your email. So I have a backlog of these emails, I miss out on all my new music, and I get tired of Spotify more and more.
