Keeps playing a song I’ve not selected on a device I do not recognise

Keeps playing a song I’ve not selected on a device I do not recognise

For the last 2 weeks, I’ll be listening to Spotify, either at home, work or in the car and it jumps to a random song (always the same song and plays on a loop). I swap back to my playlist and it’s back again. This week it’s started to say playing on SM-G950F, which is not a device I recognise.

I have logged out and back in, I have changed my password, I have disconnected all devices and reconnected my phone again. But it’s still happening.

Please help, it’s driving me crazy!

Hey @Sjp91

Hey have you checked if your repeat button was on which can cause the song to repeat or the shuffle button which can skip to a random song in your playlist. You can turn off the repeat button by clicking it twice and to turn off the shuffle button by clicking on it once.

If you believe that this post helps you out maybe leaving a like on here and accept this as a solution and please if you feel like it you can follow my spotify they are free and you can always revoke your like or unfollow me. 😄

Hi, it’s a song I’ve never listened to (until last few weeks). When it gets played (not by me), it’s set to play on loop, so I cannot get it off.

I do have the same issue. Has anyone figured out the solution for this yet?? What has happened?

I'm using an iPhone and never have any android device.

Hi there folks,

Thanks for the posts.

It sounds like someone else might have gained access to your account. In order to secure it, go through the steps in this Support Article. It's a good idea to update the passwords to your email address and Facebook accounts as well, since this could be caused by a leaked password.

Hope this helps.
