Since 05.06.2023 spotify doesn't send the tracks to my last.fm. My last scrobble is on 5 Jun at 9:30am. I have listend many songs since then. I did not change the settings in Spotify nor last.fm.
This issue happened recently already. After closing the Player and open it again, the tracks were sent. This workaround is not working anymore.
Today I noticed my tracks hadn’t been scrobbling since June 4. I went into my last.fm account and disconnected from my Spotify account then reconnected back. It seemed to work again after that and all the missing scrobbles appeared on my recent tracks list too.
Mine is more recent -- last scrobble as of July 3. I noticed today Spotify had an update to the interface that now has a clunky Now Playing pane (still won't fix the playlist for song/artist radio that went away a few months ago though), and restarting both the Scrobbler and Spotify doesn't fix it. Spotify doesn't show up on the list of apps to scrobble in the Last.fm app, but I don't think that was an issue before; I still see Last.fm connected in my Spotify settings.

My Question or Issue
Sometimes none of my Scrobbles get submitted through the app. The only way to fix it is to disconnect the component from my Last.FM account, log out of Last.FM, log back in, and reconnect it. Then I play anything on Spotify and it will submit all of the cached songs.
This only happens with the mobile app. If I use the desktop app, or the standalone Last.FM app (to Scrobble Spotify with on mobile), it works flawlessly. So I know it is an issue on Spotify's end explicitly.
Why does this happen so often and how can I stop it? It is becoming quite annoying.,
This keeps happening to me almost daily. I can't keep track of which solutions work because it seems it's always something different I have to try. The other day I force stopped, cleared cache, uninstalled and reinstalled. It still didn't work and I had to jump thru other hoops. I wish Spotify would just buy this site and integrate it better.
It is very often that it is happening for me and it drives me insane. I have a habit now of checking the site daily because I just don't trust it anymore.
Today it happened yet again and I have tried multiple times disconnecting the app and logging out and then playing music again. No matter what order or what device I play from, it won't pull anything from the cache. It is submitting new scrobbles, but not pulling all of the cached ones. I had a whole day at work today with listening to Spotify and none of it got scrobbled. Only the non-Spotify app I used submitted. It's definitely a Spotify issue. No other app ever has this issue.
So my scrobbles started working again some time later but they are spotty at best. Seems like a bug related to very specific conditions of how you're using both, when, etc.
Mine still won't come back.I've tried disconnecting the app and logging out, I've tried signing out and back in on both PC and mobile. I've tried clearing cache. I have an entire day of scrobbles missing from yesterday.
Ive had this problem for months, where I have to log in minimum twice a month which is getting p annoying!
I have this exact issue which is extremely annoying and makes me want to move to a different platform. Not sure how to log out of Last.fm on Spotify? Do I need to be on desktop to do that? As the problem is mostly mobile related I think
Same here - Scrobbles for me are really patchy from desktop app and mobile app, and haven't been working for a few days now. Really annoying and one of the reasons that I stopped my Last.FM subscription...

My Question or Issue
The issue first appeared on November 27. I tried reconnecting, but it didn’t resolve the problem. The issue occurs on both mobile and desktop versions, while scrobbling still works on the web version. It seems that the problem might be related to the Russian blocking of internet resources, as using foreign VPNs resolves the issue. However, the problem persists even when using a VPN with a Russian IP (which bypasses the blocking). I suspect this might be somehow related to recent changes in the Web API.
