Linked Facebook to wrong spotify account, lost playlists!

Solved!

Linked Facebook to wrong spotify account, lost playlists!

I recently moved from the US to Canada and had to log back in to Spotify to change my country. I accidentally logged in using old account information (I guess I had two spotify accounts, one through spotify, one through FB but the FB one had all my playlists). When my playlists didn't appear (since I was using the wrong account), I clicked 'link to Facebook' as I thought I'd get my playlists back. Now I've lost my playlists and can't log back in to my previous FB account. Any advice on how to recover the playlists? Thanks!

Hi there @bronfullagar and welcome to the community!

So this one is a little more complex than most cases...If you had access to your other account, you could drag and drop your playlits onto your desktop screen to grab all of the music. Since it doesn't seem like you can do that, you'd need to see if Spotify Support can access your playlists and account info from your old account and then port it over to your new one.

I recommend reaching out directly to Spotify Support. They can be reached through their Twitter Page @SpotifyCares or through the online contact form. Give them all of the details in your message from your old account and your new and explain what happened. They should be able to sort this for you.

Make sure to check your inbox and junk folder for an email from Spotify. Once you get it, make sure to reply back right away, even if it says it's from a "no-reply" email.

Cheers!

Thanks for the advice! I did try to contact spotify support via the online contact form and they advised me to simply log in to the old account (but that's not possible as I mentioned). They then recommended that I come to the community for help... frustrating!

Hmm...do yoy have that case number? if you can post it here, we can help get you some movement on it!
