Log In change not taking affect

Log In change not taking affect

Hi, I am trying to help a friend who is having a terrible time with this, and it has me totally stumped. He will change his password using a link via e-mail. He can then get into his account and is fine. But then when he goes to log in on a phone or other device, it WON'T take the password. And we've tried a lot of things, closing browsers, re opening them. Closing apps, re opening them. Rebooting phones and computers. And I'm watching him re-type it exactly... So this is really weird. This all started becasue he's trying to Link his Amazon Echo to his Spotify account. At one point we got the Echo to finally recognise his account withthe right password, but he still couldn't get in on his phone. Has anyone else had this problem before? Also, he was able to upgrade to premium last night during one of the times he could get into his account.

Can you try logging in on the web player and then on your mobile devices?

Ok, totally stupid mistake. We were using an email address vs. the spotify user name on the other log ins. When in doubt, go all the way back to the beginning and READ the instructions carefully. Absolute rookie error. LOL
