My Question or Issue

Dear Spotify team,

I am writing to express my concern over my Spotify account being repeatedly blocked for alleged "unauthorized use" of the service. As far as I know, I have not engaged in any activity that violates the Spotify Terms of Service, and I have not made any unauthorized copies of Spotify content that can be played outside of the app.

I have tried to investigate the matter and found no evidence of suspicious activity or any unauthorized access to my account but found nothing suspicious. But the blocking continues.

I depend on Spotify for my daily music streaming, and the repeated blocking of my account is causing me significant inconvenience and frustration. I kindly request that you review my account and lift any unjustified blocks or restrictions on my account. I also ask that you provide me with a clear explanation of the specific actions or behaviors that have led to these blocks, so that I may avoid any such behavior in the future.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing back from you soon.

Sincerely,

Anna (ga.mall)

Hey @ga_mall ,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

Keep in mind that we (the Community) don't have any access to the backstage area of your accounts, so we can't really comment on this kind of issue. 🙂 If you haven't reached out to Support yet, you can do so at https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/.

Hope this helps!

Sorry to hear this. Something similar happened to me and they disabled my account. I've been emailing them for 3 months and they don't respond to any questions. They won't even respond to my requests for a copy of my data. Idk how a business can operate like this with zero customer service.

It seems Spotify's Windows app is quite aggressively looking for any type of "recording-like" activity going on in the computer while Spotify playback is active. Not sure how clever this system is though - could it mistake a Teams/Zoom meeting for "ongoing recording"? What about multi-channel / multiple sound devices?
