Prepaid premium account to Spotify family

Hi, 

I have a prepaid subscription until July 2016, and now I would like to change to Spotify Family. In the FAQ I didn't read anything about this specific case. Could somebody tell me if I have to cancel the prepaid subscription or the price will be adjusted over it?

Hi there!

If you'll pay the Family subscription there's no need to unsubscribe, but the accounts that will enjoy the Famly subscription you pay must be Free.

I got the same qustion
I pay for "Spotify family" but the receipt is only show "Spotify premium".
And I have no way to add sub account as like as family.

In my case, some friends gave me a prepaid code until July 2016. Apparently, it is not possible to upgrade to Spotify Family if you are premium with such codes... I find it weird, because they could charge the difference in price to the subscription using the payment method of my preference. I have written to Spotify to see what they officialy say (I suppose their reply will take some time). But in principle, it is not possible until I finish my current subscription...

So the support replied, and I paste below an extract of the mail:

If you want to upgrade to Spotify Family, just click here. The 12 months of your Standard Premium you've purchased will be divided by the number of members of your Family Plan. 

I am a bit confused, but I imagine I am good to go...

I upgraded to Spotify Family. They took the money I had in the gift card, and my premium was changed to Spotify Family until May 2016 (my premium before was until July, so they adjusted the subscription's price). Now, I will be charged 9,99€ (because of the current offer I suppose) starting from May as it can be seen in the attached picture. Everything works as expected now, I added one member of my family already.
