Hello! my bank gave me an over draft fee because Spotify charged me on a date I couldn't get to the bank to deposit money. My bank will not refund me or dismiss the fee unless Spotify refunds me the amount I was charged. Would you please do that for me just so they can dismiss the fee? And then charge thereafter.. It would be greatly appreciated Spotify. My bank insisted I complain to you to cancel my subscription because I'm not satisfied with your service so that you would refund my money and then they'd refund me. I was tempted to tell my banker, "excuse me but I'm not satisfied with YOUR service." It really is unfortunate since they're the ones giving me the overdraft fee, not you. My bank made it very clear to me when I first made my account that my very first overdraft fee is dismissed no matter what but that didn't seem to be the case. I now have put money into my account and that didn't do the trick to dismiss the fee. I would greatly appreciate it, Spotify. Also, I would like to change the date I am charged monthly. If I can do that as well, it would be great.

Thank you,
Divina Hinojosa

Hi @spotifyenthusia. Sorry that you've run into this trouble with your bank. Foremost, changing your renewal date will require you to cancel your subscription, let your account revert to free, and then manually change the date by re-subscribing on that date. Not ideal, I know, but the only way to do so. As for having the charge refunded, I cannot make any guarantees, but support should be willing to help you out. Support can be reached one of three ways: through the online contact form; on twitter by reaching out to @SpotifyCares; or by sending a message to the Spotify Cares Facebook page. Please be aware that responses may take anywhere from 24-48 hours depending on the volume of tickets support is currently handling.

In regards to the contact form, upon filling it out you should receive a confirmation email, usually a generic message containing the information you provided and instructions to visit these forums. If after 24 hours you do not hear back from a support team member, please reply directly back to the confirmation email, even if it originates from a no-reply address. If you do not receive this confirmation email, please check your spam folder. If it is not present there, please attempt using one of the other contact methods, or, if you are unable to use the alternatives, please let me know.

Best of luck getting this sorted, banks can be a real pain. Please let me know if there's anything else I can assists you with. Cheers!

If I cancel my subscription, will I lose all my saved Spotify playlist and
songs?

@spotifyenthusia Canceling your subscription wont remove anything from your account. All of your playlists and such will remain. The only major change will be if your premium completely runs out, in which case your offline tracks will no longer be available offline and you'll need to re-download them once you re-subscribe.
