Country Switch not possible: Germany > Switzerland

 

I got an email that I need to change my country location (I moved from Germany to Switzerland). When I wanted to do so in my account, I could not select another country than Germany in the dropdown. It said: "to be able to change country location, first select a payment method that fits to your country". I therefore went to change my payment method to my Swiss credit card first, but then it said "payment method does not fit your country location". LOL. Can somenone please help me?

Thanks for reaching out.

 

Since you’re on a Premium plan, you won’t be able to change your country setting through the dropdown menu. Instead, you’ll need to update your payment method to one issued in your new country (which you’ve already tried, as you mentioned).

 

Have you also made sure to select the correct country both below the list of payment methods and at the bottom of the page here before entering your payment details?

Thanks for your post! I’m sorry for the confusion there. I’d recommend you to cancel your subscription, wait for your account to revert to Free, and then you can update your country settings following these steps. Once you change your country, you’re able to subscribe to a new Premium plan of your choosing here.

Keep in mind that while changing your country details, please make sure that it does match the country registered with your payment method.
