My Question or Issue

Despite appearing as a connectable device, Spotify does not connect to Xbox One.
Both have been validated to be on the same wifi. Both have been uninstalled and re-installed.

It seems to be an issue with samsung as connecting from a PC has no issues.
Once Spotify is playing on the xbox, the app on the phone shows that it is playing on the xbox and can now be controlled by the phone.

Try reinstalling the app on the phone

same problem here since weeks - Samsung Galaxy S8+ with Android 9 and latest security updates.
I tried everything and installed all apps again.
Nothing works. If the Spotify App is started on Xbox everything is fine. I noticed that Spotify connect then shows another Symbol for the game console.

Did you try to do a clean uninstall?

As I said in my statement, the apps on both phone and xbox were uninstalled and re-installed.

Yeah but was it clean uninstall?

I unistalled the Apps on both devices (Android and xbox one) After reboot I installed them again, logged in and nothing changed.

Have you cleared the cache and data? You may wanna try that

Cache and Data cleared.  No improvement.

Now that you mention it, I also see the change in symbol. It goes from a TV to game controller.
