Saving to SD card not an option

I have a Moto G4, and am unable to save downloaded songs to my SD card. Very annoying as it uses about 7 GB of my phone's storage!! Any help would be great

The option won't appear if you have formatted your SD card as internal and not portable storage.

I'm using android 4.4.2 and I cannot find anywhere the option to change the storage modes.

Try reformatting the SD card in the phone then remove it. Uninstall and reinstall spotify then reinsert the SD card. If the storage option still doesn't appear, try downloading a playlist - it should automatically save to the SD card.

I'm not certain but it may be that the storage option doesn't appear on older android builds. The steps I outlined used to work before they introduced the storage option.
