Add mechanism to report user who maliciously adds random contributing artists to songs

Add mechanism to report user who maliciously adds random contributing artists to songs

Hello,

https://open.spotify.com/track/6G2NG5jCLoheK95LtZLQXw?si=d84b244d184741d7

This song in question has numerous famous k-pop artists linked as contributing artists to the song, when in reality it's just some trash trap beat made by some no-name producer.  They're obviously trying to fish for plays by linking the more famous artists as contributors to the song.  This is shitty, but whatever.  There should be a mechanism to report this user.

When you right click the artist and click report, there is a section for "Deceptive Content" which fits this scenario.  After clicking on that, there is a dropdown for things to report.  The dropdown items are:

  • Artist's Bio text
  • "Artist's Pick" text
  • Artist Profile Image
  • Artist banner image
  • Artist merchandise

Please add an option in here for deceptive songs as people are obviously trying to game your Release Radar algorithm by shoving in random artists into the contributors line.

Hello @juliarvalenti,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

The steps you’ve tried are to report an artist or a playlist directly. In this type of reports, you can use the 3 dots of the playlists or artist profile and hit the Report button.

But as you want to report a specific song, we recommend you to contact our Customer Support to help you further with this.

If you think that other users would like to see a report button on albums or songs too, you can give these steps a go and submit your idea so other people can vote for it. The higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for it to be implemented.

If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.
