Unable to change the playback speed of podcasts on desktop

We're receiving reports from users that the podcast playback speed is not changing regardless of the chosen setting and is "stuck" at the last one used. This only seems to be affecting the desktop app and web player.

My Question or Issue

The play speed of all podcasts is stuck at a super fast speed. I tried to change it several times in different podcasts and it doesn't change. 
It also happens on the browser but not on my Android phone. 
I also already reinstalled the app and the error continued.

I can confirm, I'm having the same issue on my iMac running Ventura 13.6.7 (22G720).

My Spotify version is: 1.2.40.599.g606b7f29 (64-bit)

All podcasts are at the same - last saved I assume - playback speed and it is impossible to change the speed.
It only affects the desktop version, on my mobile app it is running just fine.

I've already tried to clean Spotify cache, tried to repair the app, performed the full re-install process (with a complete uninstallation of the current version) - did not help.

My Question or Issue

After installing a recent update, podcast playback speed doesn't actually change when modifying with the button. It starts at 1x, and absolutely nothing changes whether you do .5x or 3.5x. 

I've tried two clean uninstalls and reinstalls, and the same issue continues. 

This does not occur on my mobile device, which is adjusting playback speed without problems.

My playback speed is stuck on 2x and I cannot change it. It will give me the option to change the speed but the speed itself continues to stay the same. I have even tried to cast on my mobile phone and been able to change speed with no issues but as soon as I send it back to desktop, it goes back to 2x and I cannot change it.

Same issue here on my MBP16 M2 max running Sonoma 14.5.

Here is my Spotify version :

Spotify  pour macOS (Apple Silicon)
1.2.40.599.g606b7f29

I also tried to clear cache and downloads, and reinstalled the app (via Homebrew) without success.

Same boat here, but it plays at 1x regardless of what the speed setting says.

Same with me too. The speed is stuck at either 1x speed or 2x speed and is unable to be changed. 
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it has not fixed the issue.
