[Connect] Turn Off Spotify Connect - Protect My Privacy

Spotify Connect is not a feature but a privacy invasion and a misguided and intrusive overstep. Private listening on my own device should not even be optional, it's the most basic feature of your service. I do not want everyone in the café / hotel / workplace to receive notifications about what I'm listening to. When will private sessions be restored? I have been a monthly subscriber for four years, but I will cancel my membership if this is not corrected.

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out! Heads-up: we've moved your post to the Help boards as it fits better here.

What you're referring to is a Group session, which can be toggled off from the Connect picker. As for a private session, you can toggle it on in the app's Settings, under Social.

There's also this idea about being able to toggle off/on Spotify Connect that's still open for voting, so feel free to check it out and share your feedback.
