Disable Spotify Connect on Smart TV?

My Question or Issue

I have an LG TV but use an Android TV box for everything else. When casting Spotify from my computer/phone, the TV appears in the device list twice: the LG TV itself (Spotify Connect) and the Android TV box (Google Cast). What's strange is that I uninstalled the Spotify app from the LG and it's still appearing as a cast device.

Is it possible to disable/hide the LG TV from available cast devices and only show the 1 Android TV Google Cast device?

Thanks for posting.

It's quite odd that the app still appear after uninstalling it from the LG TV. It's possible that it's part of the devices built-in apps and can't be fully removed, but rather only reverted to the preinstalled version.

If that's the case one possible workaround would be to to log out of your account in the TV app or remove the TV from the internet network. That way only the Android TV box should be available for casting.
