Hi there @mangopit,
Thanks for the post.
Currently it's not possible to Hide songs from the web player. You can listen through the Desktop app, where the option is available in Discover Weekly.
We've passed your feedback on to the development teams.
Cheers.
Was this functionality removed from the web player for some reason? Hiding songs definitely used to be an option on web player. I'm curious why this would change.
Hey @mangopit,
Thanks for your reply.
At Spotify, we're always testing new improvements and features to give our users a better experience. So you may have access to a completely new feature for a while or notice this kind of changes.
Your feedback is very important to us, because it helps us make future decisions. At the moment we don't have further info, but we know you want to make the best out of your listening experience.
We'll be here if anything else comes up. Once again, thanks for the feedback.
I've historically been able to use the - button on a song to remove it from my release radar both on my phone and on my computer/web version.
I don't understand why the functionality would be removed when we are given no choice in the variety of songs we get included in the release radar. I get non-English songs in my playlist that I have no interest in seeing again, and after months of declining them, at least now it's not 1/3 of my playlist... but I still get quite a few (5 out of 30).
How can you learn what I like if I can't do anything except skip them? There are other songs/song styles I don't particularly love being in there too, but how do I give feedback if I can't remove them from the list?
Why is there an easy way to hide tracks on the mobile app but it can't be found on the desktop app (mac)?
Subject: Missing "Hide Track" Button on Desktop - Need Clarification
Message:
Hello,
I’ve encountered a frustrating issue with the Spotify desktop version. The "Hide Track" (⊖) button that used to allow users to hide unwanted tracks from playlists like Discover Weekly is missing. This feature is still available on mobile, but it’s not accessible on desktop, even though it was working perfectly fine before.
I’ve already taken several troubleshooting steps to fix the problem on my end, including:
Despite these efforts, the button still does not appear on my desktop. Interestingly, my sister, using the same Spotify plan (free) on her PC, has the button available, so I’m unsure why it’s not working on mine.
I’ve already contacted support about this issue. While the supports Mahfoud G. and Michelle P.
was polite and showed genuine interest in helping, they weren’t able to resolve the problem. I was informed that the feature is temporarily unavailable due to internal changes at Spotify, but this response doesn’t explain why the feature is still working for other users, like my sister.
I would greatly appreciate clarification on the following:
I also agree with users who also do not like this update

This issue is really affecting my experience, as I heavily rely on this feature to customize my playlists and make the listening experience more enjoyable. I hope you can provide a resolution soon.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
