I fixed this issue by playing a song on Spotify Xbox then going into the Spotify app on my phone. I could see the song I was playing so I scrolled down to the lyrics on my phone and I clicked show more. They then appeared on my phone and Xbox at the same time. I have closed and reopened the Xbox app and they are still there.
Hi @Ajl7431, thank you for reaching to the Spotify community
Please note that lyrics may not show if the lyrics provider hasn't got lyrics for that song in their catalog. Also, consider reinstalling the app on Xbox as that can help resolve any desync issues that may be causing this in case of one-off experience.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we refine the app experience. I am happy to help further in case of any questions.
Thanks! But I already tried playing very popular songs that I know have Spotify lyrics (I seen that they do on my phone), I have signed out and back in, I have deleted the app and reinstalled it, and I have restarted my console. It’s not really a big deal if it doesn’t work but it would be nice to see it fixed.
Hey,
Additionally, From the “Now Playing” bar, click on the microphone icon while a song is playing on your Xbox, after the troubleshooting excercise to see if lyrics display is there.
In case it doesn't work, I request you to share the below details
The team will look into the same.
I confirm Spotify Xbox app doesn’t show lyrics anymore
From what I’ve seen in other forums you have to turn on explicit lyrics on another device, I haven’t tried this yet though
Hi,
Thank you for reaching out to the Spotify community,
Please note that lyrics may not show if the lyrics provider hasn't got lyrics for that song in their catalog.
Hope this helps
Hi, @Ajl7431 ,
Thank you for posting - in case of explicit content
I will also confirm that there's no longer lyrics on xbox spotify. What's going on??
No lyrics on xbox spotify. What's going on??
Also have no lyrics on Xbox. Toggling explicit content also does nothing.
These are not songs that do not have lyrics yet, as I have seen that they do have lyrics on the past. There is simply no button to pull up lyrics like theee used to be.
