Panasonic Allplay devices not connecting any more

My Question or Issue

My Allplay devices all stopped connecting from Spotify Connect a few weeks/months ago, after they worked well for several years. They are shown in the available devices list, but do not connect any more. Same behaviour from all different Spotify client apps and with all 7 Allplay devices. Did/checked all recommended procedures to go with without any progress.

I had a similar issue already once (a few years ago) and (I think) it was fixed in the client software by Spotify. At least all devices worked again after I installed an update of the Spotify Apps.

Any further ideas what to check or test?

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome. 

 

Since you mentioned this is a behavior you can replicate on several of your devices, we'd suggest you make sure:

  • Your speakers' firmware is up-to-date.
  • Spotify is up-to-date on all your devices.

As you kindly pointed out, a reinstall of the app will help with most of these types of issues. If you haven't yet, we'd suggest you perform a clean reinstall of the app on all the devices you use to see if you notice any changes. You can follow these steps to do it.

 

If this behavior persists, we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us:

  • Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update?
  • The exact Spotify version you're running on the affected devices.
  • Does this happen when you start the playback from the Panasonic Music Streaming App?
