Samsung WAM 7501 Spotify Connect does not play podcasts?

My Question or Issue

I have a premium account, which enable Spotify connect devices.

Spotify music worked well with Samsung WAM 7501 and accompanies Samsung Multi-room app solution (though it had not been updated in a while).

Since I got into Podcast a while back, I had always wanted to play podcast to my the Samsung WAM 7501, but the Spotify app always said it does not support podcast w/ Spotify connect. And this was true for all devices a while back.

But I recently got an echo dot, which does support podcast using Spotify connect. So why doesn't the app allow this on all Spotify connect speakers?

Thank you for your post.

It depends on the eSDK your connect speaker is using.

There's currently an idea - re-categorise podcasts as AUDIO so they play on Connect devices  that you can leave a +VOTE on and Subscribe to the thread for any updates.
