My Question or Issue

I downloaded a podcast and I listen to it regulary but for a week or two the podcast window on the homepage won't show the already started episode. If I click on the podcast it jumps to a random episode I haven't even listen to and I have to scroll all the way down to the episode I was listening to befor.

Hey @Mieze,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

To start investigating this issue, would you mind checking on a different device (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.

Also, could you check if this behavior happens with just a single podcast or with everyone you tried?

Lastly, include in your next response the exact OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

We'll be on the lookout.

I tried it on an other devise but it does the exact same thing. It also happens with other podcasts too.

My Android Version is 13 and my One UI-Version is 5.1.

My Spotify Version is 8.9.60.560.

Hey @Mieze,

Thanks for your response.

You've mentioned you've downloaded the podcast. Does this only happen when you're playing in Offline mode? Can you try again with a non-downloaded episode and see if you get the same behavior? What if you use the Podcasts filtering option at the top of the Home page?

It's also worth checking if any music playlists/albums you play show up there (they should). This way we'll know if the issue is limited to podcasts only.

If possible, send over a video of how things look on your end. If the file is too large to attach, you can upload it to Google Drive (make sure to allow general access to the file) or as an unlisted YouTube video.

Keep us posted.

The problem just solved itself by clicking on the episode the podcast was jumping to. But thank you for your help.

It solved my problem
