Unable to connect - Gear s3

Unable to connect - Gear s3

My Issue:

I have a Galaxy S9, latest versions of software, and Gear S3 watch. After downloading the Spotify App for the watch from Galaxy Store, I'm suprised to find I cannot connect to Spotify on my phone (from my Gear S3) and control it! Sure the Gear S3 will work over wifi playing directly from the watch, but when I choose "Remote" control setting, I get "Unable to start Spotify. Connect to bluetooth to start listening". Well the Gear S3 is connected via bluetooth. Please fix or take your app offline as it's quite useless indeed in its current state.

 

*When do you plan on fixing this? This problem is months old you know, and users are not happy. Fix your App!*

This is currently a known ongoing issue and is under investigation by the Spotify tech teams. You can add your +VOTE here so you can keep up to speed.

 

In the meantime, I'd recommend making sure that you're rocking the latest updates for the Spotify app and for your phone and watch firmware.

 

Hopefully this issue will be resolved soon!
