Web Player not working in Chrome

Web Player not working in Chrome

When I open the Web Player it says:

Screen Shot 2018-08-11 at 3.44.07 PM.png

I go to the support site and it tells me to go to settings and enable 'Allow sites to play protected content (recommended)'. It is. I don't know what to do next, Chrome is up to date, I even redownloaded it, I've restarted my computer. I'm using an iMac.

Hey @sarahl4444, welcome to the Community!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with this. We'll do our best to help 🙂

Does the issue persist in an incognito window? You can also try clearing your browser's cache and cookies to see if it helps.

Let us know how it goes.

@SergioDavid

Yes, it still doesn't work in incognito. I've cleared my browser's cache and cookies and it still has the same message.

For me It doesn’t allow me to play music. I click on the song or album i want to listen to and it doesn’t start to play or even show on The bottom left. I’ve tried a lot of different things to solve this issue.

I've got the same problem on my older macbook pro while it works on my newer one. Clearing caches/cookies, reinstalling Chrome, using a different User, deleting files under "Application Support" all have now effect. Of course drm content is also allowed under chrome://settings/content

On the same computer Firefox works fine with the site.

Same issue here. Has it something to do with Widevine Content Decryption Module discontinuing support for 32-bit versions?

Interestingly the problem went away for me after updating to Chrome **bleep**. I
haven't found out what the root problem was, but I had a weird javascript
error in the console that seemed to be about feature testing.

Hey @helkobark

Great to hear it worked. For everyone else, can you try updating your browser to the latest version and see if that works?

Keep us posted! 🙂

Mine is up to date apparently (70.0.3538.77), but I am also having issues.
