When and how are streams counted?

So like I stream a song right and have it saved to listen to it offline does it still count towards the total stream count when I'm listening to it offline and when connected to WiFi? Basically i am asking when and how are streams counted?

Hey @Mandy-209, welcome to the Community.

Good question!

It doesn't matter if you are online or offline, the streams are ocunted when you have listened to 30 seconds of the song. When you are offline Spotify does count that and reports it back when you are online so your offline streams are counted as well.
