unable to change the artist header image

Unable to change the artist header image because of some sort of glitch. The save button is behind something so i can't press it

I'd recommend reaching out to the Spotify for Artists Support Team here, since they have the necessary tools to check and report this further. The more reports they get, the easier it'd be to have this looked into.

First we'd like to suggest that you perform a clean reinstall of the app. This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

If that doesn't do the trick, can you check if you get the same behavior if you try from a different device?

I think in the app you can pnly change the avatar image and in the browser you can change the header image but i've tryed to log out and in but it doens't help the issue

In this case, it could be related to some remaining cache stored on your browser. First, we'd recommend deleting the cache and cookies from your browser and try from an incognito/private window. 

If the issue persists, would you mind trying it on a different browser? with this, we can verify if the issue comes from the browser itself or not.

yea trying chrome helped and i got it changed! don't know why safari made it impossible

Thanks for letting us know that using Chrome worked for you. 

Sometimes browser cache and cookies might block certain processes like this. It's a good idea to check for any pending updates for Safari or clear the cache and cookies.

I can't seem to change my Header. I've tried the app as well as chrome and safari and have cleared caches several times and uninstalled and reinstalled app. I've also tried using incognito browsers for each search engine and am still unable to change header.

My Question or Issue

Although I am aware of the many posts of people worried that their Artist profile hasn't updated, I know of the 72 hour rule. My issue is that when I have gone to update my artist avatar today, the new image I select does not even save as a selection. This persists on my iPhone as well as my laptop. I know that I will not yet see the change on the Spotify app, but I should be able to see the new photo I have selected in Spotify for Artists. When I refresh the page, the old photo has returned and it is as though my change was never saved. Help would be greatly appreciated!

There must be something wrong with Spotify for Artists. 

Yesterday we released a new song, and I want to remove the current header image which says ”Song available from the 6th of december”. 

However, when I change the header image in Spotify for Artists, nothing changes on Spotify (Yes, I have tried restarting the app and also tried various browsers+incognito mode on several computers, to make sure it is not a caching issue). 

If I log out from Spotify for Artists and log back in the old image (that I no longer want to have) is there again. Like I never updated it at all. 

I have tried this around 20 times with the same result. 

Now for the most annoying bit: When I try to ask for help I get some ignorant customer service rep who doesn't now anything on the other end, telling me that ”avatars take 72 hours to change". I have tried telling them that this is not about the artist avatar, but rather the HEADER image. But they refuse to understand. 

One of them said there is ”a known issue" with header images and that they take 72 hours to change. When I tell them my old image shows up also in Spotify for Artists they say its because of this issue. But when I look at the list of issues here this is not listed under "ongoing issues" so it's a clear case of "wanting to get rid of a person with a problem they dont know how to solve". 

This is VERY frustrating, since I cant get hold of anyone who knows what they're talking about.

Same here. And the so called "support" keeps telling me that it takes 72 hours to change the header image. They're just talking a lot of sh*t. Also, Spotify for Artists reverts back to the old header when logging out and logging in again. No luck with different browsers or incognito modes either. This sucks.

I'm having the exact same issue, tried updating my header and image gallery, then I refresh the page and the photos disappear from my spotify for artists page

I am also having this issue. Whenever I try to change my profile picture or banner on my spotify for artists account I'll press save and it will show it worked but then I refresh the page and it resets back to my original profile picture and banner. This has been going on for almost a week now. I have tried signing back in and out and restarting my PC. I am still unable to change my profile picture or banner.

I’m having the same problem. They say it takes time (72 hours) before the avatar gets updated, so I think we have to wait for now.

As for OP, kindly double check if the image you are trying to use meets the guidelines.

I am not using the app. I am using Spotify for Artists on the web, with a computer. As stated above in the description I have tried multiple browsers on many computers (also with browsers in incognito mode) but still the same problem.

I have the exact same issue, nothing works (changing/closing apps, changing browsers, deleting cookies, waiting 72 h etc.). Cannot change the header, avatar or even the photos in the "About" section. Hope they fix this problem soon!
