I do not want Spotify to arbitraly add songs to playlists I've created

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

If you're a Premium user, you most likely have the Enhance (or Smart Shuffle) feature turned on, as both will add temporary recommendations to the current playlist. You can turn these off from the playlist itself.

If you're a Free user, note that Spotify will automatically add songs to your playlist if there are less than 15 tracks in it. If you don't want Spotify to add tracks, you need to have more than 15 tracks in the playlist.

In any case, feel free to send over a screenshot which shows how things look on your end so we can investigate further.
