My Question or Issue

Recently, probably last year at some point, my account lost all 700 followers and several more dozen I was following and built-up over 10 years.
Can someone please explain why this may have happened and do something effective to return them?

Hey @richwood1 ,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

Does it look the same on all devices? It might just be a cache issue.

Let me know 🙂

Hi Maxim,

Thanks for the reply.

Logging in on other devices doesn't make any difference unfortunately.

Hey @richwood1 ,

Thanks for letting me know.

Since we (the Community) cannot access any data of user accounts, you should reach out to Support who should be able to take a closer look at it: https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/ 🙂

Spotify support suggested they either stopped following me, which wouldn't make sense for 700 just to stop following overnight, or I was logging into a different account. That's also impossible as I know my own account with all its playlists and profile photo.
They also didn't seem to indicate they could look back at the account history and see how many followers I had.
So I'm just keen to know if anyone else has experienced something similar and why/how it would occur?
