My Question or Issue

My credit card has been cancelled by my foreign bank.

I am requested by Spotify to update a new card.

When I try to update a new card, Spotify says it can't and that i have to update country.

 

I manage to disconnect FB that was synced with Singapore country.

Now I am trying to update the country to France

When I try to update country, it says I cant apply for the subscription Premium that I already have.

Well, I m turning in cycle here and waste los of my time.

Thanks for letting me know.

 

In this case, it'd be best for you to cancel your current subscription following these steps.

 

Once that's done, you can update your country setting following these steps. After that, you should be able to subscribe to a Premium plan of your choice using your payment method from France.

Have you tried updating your payment method here? Make sure to select your new country (France) below the list of payment methods first.

yes i tried about 20 times with different credit card and it is not accepted.

The page is requested some amount in SGD, my account is link to Singapore somehow, i can't change the country, therefore it does not let me pay with another currency, another credit card. Since I have moved from Singapore to France, I have no other choice than to use a french credit card.

 

when I try to change country, this is the error i get:

it worked out well. I had to change country 2 times though, not sure why, but in the end i manage to re-subscribe with my credit card without loosing my existing playlist which was my fear if I'h canceled.

Hey @chris4ever,

 

I'm glad to hear you were able to solve the issue.

 

Users on Spotify's free plan can create playlists and save music as well, so no need to worry about losing any of your stuff. 🙂

Did you manage to solve your problem above?

I am facing the same problem right now.

The country option is just simply not activated? Is stuck to Germany. I have changed my payment method and country of origin as above, but it doesn't get activated.
